Lambdog1066 is an award-winning, self-taught designer operating somewhere between couture and creature, theatrical wardrobe and wearable sculpture. Their practice is soaked in queer underground aesthetics, pop excess, drag, and collage, treating costume not as adornment but as a disruptive system that estranges the body, heckles good taste, and turns dressing into an act of narrative rupture.
Their costumes arrive howling—frothing through gilded seams, serving the surreal, turning glamour into pratfall, and embroidering from under a cleft hoof to create a scantily clad legacy. Pig-lewd silhouettes and lavish throws make the familiar ludicrous and the grotesque seductive, revealing character only to immediately sabotage it. Each costume functions as a facetious event: a phantom that briefly possesses the body, activating absurd personas through tragedy-as-farce.
Collaboration is foundational. Lambdog1066 works closely with performers, dancers, drag artists, and musicians—predominantly queer, trans, and non-binary—forming a practice rooted in community, experimentation, and mutual transformation.
